CHUDLEIGH FILM SOCIETY

Cinema4All-sml

SPONSORSHIP

Since its formation in 2008, the Chudleigh Film Society has received one-off sponsorship for major equipment purchases from the National Lottery and The Co-operative Society. In order to keep our entry charges reasonable, we have sought sponsorship from local businesses and private individuals. These donations help to defray the many costs involved in the presentation of the film season, around £250 per film evening, as well as ensuring that we can deal promptly with any technical breakdowns and repairs in order to maintain our already high standards.

Sponsorship costs £60 per season for individuals, private groups, societies or businesses, not necessarily based in Chudleigh. The sponsorship should normally be arranged and paid for by the end of April for the film season beginning in the following September. Please contact any committee member, telephone 01626 859593 or email us at info@chudleighfilmsociety.org for further information. Sponsors receive free admittance for two people on the evening that their film is screened. All sponsors may remain anonymous, if preferred. (NB A private group may contain more than two people.)

All sponsors, unless anonymity is desired, will be mentioned in our Programme, on our publicity posters, trailers, website and on the corresponding film night, along with the logo of the organisation as appropriate.

CHUDLEIGH HISTORY GROUP

This active group takes an interest in all matters relating to the history of Chudleigh. Regular talks, usually 1st Friday of the month take place in The Woodway Room at The Town Hall. Contact Alan Brunton on 01626 852714 for further details.

CHUDLEIGH/TROARN TWINNING ASSOCIATION

Our two towns were twinned in 1982, with the aim of promoting friendship and harmony between Chudleigh and our twin town, Troarn. Troarn is similar in size to Chudleigh, ten miles from Caen in Normandy. We visit Troarn one year and the French come to Chudleigh the following year, on each occasion staying with members’ families, which is great fun. Membership only costs £6 per person or £12 for a couple/family. You do not have to speak French to join us!

Between visits to France, there are social events, some with a French theme to fundraise and enjoy ourselves.

We are always keen to have more members, and especially need more families when our French friends visit. Also, we are always looking for extra support for our other social events!

CHUDLEIGH RESIDENTS

This year three 'sets' of Chudleigh Residents, who have wished to remain anonymous, have sponsored our  films.

CHUDLEIGH POST OFFICE

This is probably one of the most frequented businesses in Chudleigh and we thank Jo and Ed for their first time sponsorship. The film that they are supporting is 'The Lady in the van' which is being screened on Friday 9th December 2016.
